Corona Virus Update

Main messages

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test result should stay at home and self-isolate immediately. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should arrange to have a PCR test as soon as possible. This still applies even if you have received one or more doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

If you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, you should stay at home and self-isolate. From 16 August, if you are fully vaccinated or aged under 18 years and 6 months you will not be required to self-isolate if you are a contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

You could be fined if you do not self-isolate following a notification by NHS Test and Trace^{[footnote 1]}. You may be entitled to a one-off payment of £500 through the NHS Test and Trace Support Payment scheme if you are required to stay at home and self-isolate or you are the parent or guardian of a child who has been told to self-isolate.

Year 7 Induction

End of Year Exams

As planned, our internal end of year exam week for the National Curriculum subjects will begin on Monday 28^th June 2021 until Friday 2^nd July 2021.

Please find a copy of your sons Examination Timetable attached to the letter above. Students must attend school at their normal start time of 7:30am.

Exams will begin during the National Curriculum timings; at 11:10am and end at 3pm, as shown in the timetable.

Eidul Fitr Holiday 2021

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

Dear Parents & Guardians,
Hafs Academy will close for the Eidul Fitr Holiday. We will break up tomorrow, Tuesday 11th May 2021 and will resume school on Tuesday 18th May 2021 at the usual time of 7:30am with the school ending at 3:00pm.

Note: Students will have been given their full timetable before breaking up for their eid holiday.

The school will resume as normal, according to the Ramadan timetable, on Tuesday 4th May 2021.

It has been a short and eventful term; we pray that all are well.

Hafs Academy closes on Thursday 1^st April 2021 at 10:30am for the Easter holidays. The school will open on Monday 19^th April 2021 at 10am.

Parents Day Announcement

Dear Parents/ Guardian,

Hafs Academy is pleased to invite you to Parents Day, where you will get the opportunity to talk to subject teachers. We will be holding two Parents Days (please see table below).

There will be no school for pupils on these days.

Please try your best to attend and discuss relevant issues with your child’s teacher. Due to the situation, we face today, we will ask parents to come in according to an allocated day and time (please see below). Please do not enter the school unless it is your appointed time.

Key Stage 3 – – Monday 29th March 2021

Year 7 – 10 – 11am
Year 8 – 11am – 12:30pm
Year 9 – 12:30 – 1:30pm

Key Stage 4 – Tuesday 30th March 2021

Year 10 – 10 – 11:45am
Year 11 – 12 – 1:30pm

School Hours

Dear Parents

All year groups have been given their school timetable.

School starts at 7:30am, and

ends at 2pm monday – thursday, and 1:30pm on friday.

We have also given out the consent form for the Lateral Flow Testing. Please confirm if you give consent for testing to be done. This is a simple procedure and we have taken thorough measures to ensure the test is done safely and smoothly.

If you do not give consent please state this clearly on the form.
